SACRAMENTO, CA – U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina today issued the following statement in response to news that employers slashed another 20,000 jobs in January:
“The news today that the economy lost another 20,000 jobs in January and that job losses in December were worse than originally reported last month shows that Barbara Boxer’s continued support for a policy of tax, spend and borrow over her last 18 years in the Senate has failed. If Washington is serious about creating jobs, then it must get serious about growing the economy. To do that, we must get credit flowing again and reduce the tax and regulatory burden on our nation’s job creators. Small businesses, family-owned businesses and entrepreneurs are the economic engines that will lead us through these difficult times. As a U.S. Senator, my priority will be real job creation through championing policies that lead to real economic growth, not just an expansion of government.”
